Subsidized through generous contributions from Comcast and Verizon, MMTV is provides a public access forum for residents of Melrose and supports the city government and educational channels. The organization boasts a wide array of professional grade equipment including two full size production studios, and has been active in Melrose since 1992. The station broadcasts programming on channels 8, 9, and 22 on Comcast and channels 37, 38, and 39 on the Verizon network. Who Is Involved? You! That's right, MMTV is run by residents of Melrose with a passion for community, public broadcasting, and creativity in the arts. While the station has a small permanent staff to help oversee operations of the studio itself, programming and coverage of events around town are the responsibility of the station volunteers.
